In addition to being a sweet treat honey has many medicinal virtues, it was historically used for a wide range of diseases including eye diseases, bronchial asthma, throat infections, tuberculosis, thirst, hiccups, fatigue, dizziness, hepatitis, constipation, worm infestation, hemorrhoids, eczema, ulcers, and wounds. Today Studies have validated many of these uses especially in regards to respiratory illnesses including sore throats and coughs, eye disease, wounds, and burns. While honey alone offers potent medicine, infusing honey with medicinal herbs results in a simple yet powerful combination. Herbal honey is one of my favorite remedies not only because it is safe and Effective but also because this medicine can be made entirely from local ingredients. Herbal honey is incredibly easy to make and has a variety of uses as well as a long shelf life.

 

 Ginger honey contains antibacterial and antiviral properties which help to deal with flu virus it also produces sweat in the body which helps to flush out all unwanted toxins and prevent infections. If you are only going to have one medicinal herb and your kitchen Let It Be Ginger. Garlic Oxymel (hone-gar) Note: An oxymel can be made with just Honey and Apple Cider Vinegar or add ANY herb(s) for the added value of the medicinal properties found in your chosen plant.

 

Apple Cider Vinegar minerals; potassium, calcium, copper, iron, chromium, magnesium, manganese, selenium, sodium, zinc, phosphorous vitamins; A, C, E, B1, B2, B6, B12 Used Medicinally; to support digestion, regulate blood sugar, for Liver support, reduce infections, sooth sinusitis, improve skin, hair, and nail health, and much much more.

Update: kinda slippery you may want to have a drying option handy... Leaves my hands feeling silky smooth and clean. If you're so inclined add 10-15 drops of essential oil for scent, I recommend something citrusy. A combo of all my favorite disinfectant and sanitizing ingredients rolled into one powerful handy wipe! This nerve runs through the low body and can be responsible for aches and pains in the low back, hips, shins, heels, even causing hip discomfort. Many people experience tensions caused be this nerve in a variety of unique ways. Listen to your body! This is a overly simplified guide to my favorite yoga posture that relieve sciatica pain and strengthen the low back. Strengthening exercises can help reduce or prevent future flare-ups. Do any of these postures alone or together, taking deep breaths, hold poses for at least 5-10 deep belly breaths, up to 3-5 minutes.

30 minutes building a strong core and relieving low back discomfort. As someone who is used to moving for a living my back is straining from lack of movement. This quarantine is a blessing for me as it gives me the time I've been begging for to continue my herbal studies, but sitting, reading and typing for hours on end is taking its toll on my body. This yoga flow works on building strength, finding balance, and releasing tension from the low back muscles. Enjoy!
